Arnold M. Epstein, MD
A nationally respected scholar on health care quality and policy, Dr. Epstein is the John H. Foster Professor and Chairman of the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard University School of Public Health. He also serves as Chief of the Section on Health Services and Policy Research in the Department of Medicine at the Brigham Woman's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Epstein worked previously in the Clinton Administration, where he counseled on health care reform efforts, and also was Vice Chair of the Institute of Medicine Committee on Developing a National Report on Health Care Quality. He is currently Associate Editor for health policy at the
New England Journal of Medicine, and has published broadly on issues such as access to care for disadvantaged populations, Medicaid policy, and public reporting of quality performance data.
