Lorie Martin

Lorie Martin, director of communications at the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS), has more than 15 years of experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, event planning, Web site development, and database management.  At CHCS, she manages a broad range of marketing/communications efforts designed to promote best practices in Medicaid management care to key stakeholders and policymakers. 

Previously, Ms. Martin was the director of publications at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, where she oversaw marketing for obstetrical, neurological, specialty surgical, and primary care services for consumer and professional audiences.  Select achievements include developing a marketing toolkit for primary care physicians and producing an award-winning annual report and a quarterly magazine aimed at health care consumers.  Prior to entering the health care field, she held communications positions within the University of Pennsylvania. 

Ms. Martin has a bachelor's degree in American history from the University of Pennsylvania.
