Kathy Moses, MPH

Kathy Moses is a senior program officer at the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS).  In this role, she provides technical assistance and strategic consultation to Medicaid state agencies as they develop, implement, measure, and evaluate health care initiatives aimed at improving quality of care for people with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and the elderly.  Ms. Moses' particular areas of expertise are in care management and quality improvement. 

Prior to joining CHCS, Ms. Moses worked on a variety of health care issues for the State of Indiana.  Most recently, as the director of chronic disease for Indiana's Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning, she developed and implemented the Indiana Chronic Disease Management Program. Prior to leading this initiative, she served as the director of the State Children's Health Insurance Program.  Ms. Moses began her career in public service as the manager for the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System at the Indiana Department of Health's Epidemiology Resource Center. 

Ms. Moses earned a master's degree in public health from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from Valparaiso University.
