CHIPRA Webinar: Reengineering Residential Treatment

This two-hour webinar: 1) Described the Building Bridges Initiative, both as a national initiative that is "working to identify and promote practice and policy that will create strong and closely coordinated partnerships and collaborations between families, youth, community - and residentially - based treatment and service providers;" and from the perspective of a provider in Massachusetts; and 2) Highlighted the experience of New Jersey and one of its residential treatment providers in changing its philosophy and service delivery model and work more collaboratively with children and families served by CMEs.

Integrating Physical and Behavioral Health: An Exploration of State Options

This 90-minute webinar from the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) explored promising options for integrating physical and behavioral health services within managed delivery systems. Participants heard about new strategies for designing integrated care models and learned how three states - Vermont, Tennessee, and Arizona - are approaching integration from different vantage points.

CHIPRA Webinar: Coordination with Primary Care

This webinar highlighted the experiences of two CMEs -- Wraparound Milwaukee and the former Massachusetts Mental Health Services Program for Youth (MHSPY) -- in their efforts to identify and engage primary care providers, ensure that children served by the CME have a medical home, that there is coordination between behavioral and physical health care, and that particular attention is paid to children on psychotropic medications.

Forecasting the Return on Investment of Health Homes and Medical Homes

Preparing for the Medicaid Primary Care Rate Increase

The Affordable Care Act requires and provides federal funding for states to pay Medicaid PCPs at parity with Medicare in 2013 and 2014. This CHCS webinar described how Medicaid agencies and health plans can address the numerous policy and technical issues associated with implementing this rate increase to benefit the Medicaid primary care system as it prepares for upwards of 20 million new beneficiaries.

A representative from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services outlined how states can maximize federal opportunities to build higher-quality and more cost-effective LTSS programs.

Strategies for Finding and Engaging Medicaid Beneficiaries for Complex Care Management
