Under health care reform, Medicaid is poised to serve more than a quarter of all Americans. CHCS is helping states and health plans to understand the care needs of the Medicaid expansion population and streamline linkages between Medicaid and the insurance exchanges. Current projects include:
Affinity Group for U.S. Charity Care Programs
CHCS is coordinating an affinity group for charity care programs to share best practices and address challenges in redefining program roles, delivery systems, and business models to serve the uninsured population in 2014 and beyond.
Technical Assistance for State Health Reform Assistance Network
Through the State Health Reform Assistance Network, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is supporting technical assistance to maximize coverage gains made possible by the Affordable Care Act. As part of the State Network, CHCS will be providing intensive technical assistance to 10 states as they work to implement health reform coverage expansions.
