Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services acting administrator Andy Slavitt announced via Twitter that ACOs will be allowed to participate in the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) initiative. With the change, primary care practices participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) that meet the eligibility requirements of CPC+, may participate in both initiatives. Practices within ACOs participating in the ACO Investment Model, Next Generation ACO Model, or other shared savings programs may not participate in CPC+. For more details, see CMS’ updated CPC+ FAQs.
GOOD NEWS: Choose a Medical home? Choose an ACO? Why choose? Just announced with CPC+, you can do both. Good feedback and a quick response.
