CHCS seeks a creative and detail-oriented communications associate who will work to support communications across its national portfolio of programs. The position will assist with the production and dissemination of CHCS’ digital resources, including writing promotional copy, coordinating social media, and managing website content, among other responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, as well as communications and social media experience.

This is a full-time, junior-level position based in the CHCS office, near Princeton, NJ.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with a creative communications team to plan, create, disseminate, and monitor promotional communications for CHCS’ broad portfolio of program.
  • Assist with communications across CHCS’ programs, including writing content for websites and publications, proofreading, and supporting webinar preparation, among other activities.
  • Coordinate the production of CHCS’ national email marketing campaigns, including multiple weekly e-alerts and monthly newsletters.
  • Oversee CHCS’ social media presence on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, including developing compelling social media posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring stakeholder and topic feeds.
  • Provide website content management support, including drafting web copy and posting content.

Core Competencies and Requirements

  • Passionate about CHCS’ mission and its work to promote health equity for underserved populations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field with related professional experience.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Professional experience with social media.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and work independently and collaboratively.

Salary and Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience and education. CHCS also offers a highly competitive benefit package.
