Position Overview/Primary Responsibilities

CHCS seeks Program Associates to support a variety of national initiatives to improve care for individuals enrolled in Medicaid. This full-time, junior-level position will work directly with senior program staff to: (1) research relevant policy issues; (2) support day-to-day project management; and (3) contribute to technical assistance (TA) tracking and management, webinar and meeting planning, and development of written products to support states, providers, and health plans in transforming care delivery models.

This position will report to a senior-level manager and is based in the CHCS office, near Princeton, NJ. Local candidates are desired; remote candidates located outside of NJ/NY/PA will be considered but will be required to travel to the home office from time to time, in addition to the position’s regular travel responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the research and writing of policy briefs, technical assistance memos, blog posts and presentations on topics relevant to programmatic areas;
  • Support in-person and virtual meetings, periodic TA calls, and webinars through the development of agendas, note-taking, planning, participant outreach, etc.;
  • Track and manage TA requests and support project activities by assimilating information from e-mails, meetings, and calls to support internal and external project team members;
  • Support project management tasks, including managing project work plans, writing project status reports, and tracking invoices;
  • Conduct policy research to track program activities on related efforts across the country; and
  • Facilitate weekly internal team meetings.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in related field (public policy, public health, health management, RN, LCSW/LSW) preferred or equivalent work experience;
  • At least one year of continuous work experience;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in teams;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel);
  • Occasional local and national travel will be required; and
  • Prior experience or familiarity with Medicaid, managed care organizations, and/or health care provider organizations on health policy or in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
