June 2017 | Presentation

On May 18, 2017, Rachael Matulis, CHCS senior program officer, spoke at the National Academy of Medicine’s Value Incentives and Systems Innovation Collaborative Meeting. Her presentation, “State Innovations in Value-Based Care: ACOs and Beyond,” described the current landscape of state-based Medicaid ACO programs across the country as well as future opportunities for Medicaid ACOs. The presentation also explored other opportunities for states to advance value-based payment models in Medicaid.

The presentation draws from CHCS’ delivery system and payment reform portfolio, including the Medicaid ACO Learning Collaborative, which since 2012 has assisted 16 states and the District of Columbia in developing and launching Medicaid ACO programs.
