Danica Richards, LSW, is a program officer at the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS). In this role, she supports CHCS’ complex populations team, and works on several initiatives, including: Advancing Integrated Models, Co-Creating Solutions to Address Racism and Disparities in Oncology Care, and the Health Homes Resource Center.

Prior to joining CHCS, Danica interned at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, on the Patient Aligned Care Team. In graduate school, she served as both an Essentials Fellow and Education Pioneer Fellow, working on efforts to increase education equity. Prior to graduate school, Danica was a research counselor for the American Red Cross where she managed recruitment for clinical trials and provided health education to donors.

Danica has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice. She received her bachelor’s in English and environmental studies from Amherst College.

While not at work, Danica enjoys hiking, reading womanist literature, and volunteering at animal shelters.
