Demonstrating early achievements and positive beneficiary and provider experiences in new Medicare-Medicaid integrated care programs is essential to both maintain support from legislators, providers, and advocacy groups, as well as increase beneficiary enrollment.

This brief describes approaches used by seven states — Arizona, California, Florida, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia — to communicate early program results. Approaches include: (1) developing key program indicator dashboards; (2) disseminating beneficiary experience data; and (3) sharing success stories. The strategies employed by the states described in this brief can be replicated by other states as they implement new integrated programs or refine their approaches to share early program results with stakeholders.
