Jamaal Shaikh, MPH, is a program associate at the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS). In this role, he supports CHCS projects focused on delivery system and payment reform, including initiatives related to expanding access to continuous glucose monitors within Medicaid and advancing primary care population-based payment models.
Prior to joining CHCS, Jamaal worked for the Washtenaw Health Project where he created a cost simulation model to measure and assess the financial impact of the organization on the local community in saved health care-related costs. During his internship at Michigan Medicine’s Office of Health Equity & Inclusion, he supported the development and launch of the Michigan Medicine 2023-2028 DEI 2.0 initiative.
Jamaal holds a master’s of public health in health management and policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, health, and society from the University of Michigan.
Outside of work, Jamaal enjoys cooking, jogging, and spending time with family.
