CareMessage is a mobile platform designed to improve patient engagement, health literacy, and self-management for underserved populations, while reducing cost of care for health care organizations. CareMessage enables health care organizations to facilitate communication and outreach with “smart” SMS and voice technology. It helps organizations to improve patient outreach, encourages patients to communicate and actively engage in their health, fills gaps in care, reduces no shows, and meets clinical metrics through core features: outreach, health education programs, direct messaging, and appointment reminders. It also addresses HEDIS measures and “STAR ratings” to meet and exceed quality metrics.
Better engagement: CareMessage helps teams with low response rates by using the platform’s patient engagement strategy centered around texting.
Reducing no-shows and patients without office visits: CareMessage sends personalized messages to underserved populations at scale — increasing screenings across large populations by over 20 percent and decreasing no-shows at over 25 percent.
Health outcomes: With a dedicated research team CareMessage partners with Federally Qualified Health Centers to send automated, interactive educational programs via text to help partners turn improved health into lower costs and increased funding.
