Vanessa (Nessa) Finisse, MPH, is a program officer at the Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS). In this role, she supports CHCS projects related to people with complex medical, behavioral health, and social needs.

Prior to joining CHCS, Nessa interned at Public Health Solutions in the Neighborhood Health and Evaluation department in New York City, providing programmatic support for health care community projects and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Previously, she worked at Orthology as a patient relationship coordinator, performing daily clinical operation activities and driving patient engagement to ensure treatment adherence. Nessa also interned at the Hospital for Special Surgery as a patient and public educator, coordinating employee-wide health programs. Additionally, she worked as a health administrative assistant at the Family & Children’s Services in Ithaca, New York, and volunteered at the Ithaca Free Health Clinic to promote free clinical services to increase community engagement.

Nessa holds a master’s degree in public health policy from the New York University School of Global Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a pre-medical concentration from Ithaca College.

While not at work, Nessa enjoys spending quality time with her family, embarking on exciting adventures with friends, reading non-fiction, and completing her weekly workout routines.
