Digital health companies can use a number of different approaches to pricing their products — such as one-time installation fees, annual subscriptions, or usage fees. Products can also be free. This glossary briefly describes common pricing structures.

  • Implementation/Installation Fee: Pricing is based on one-time installation fee for software.
  • Licensing/Subscription/SaaS (software as a service): Pricing is based on either one-time or annual licenses of software.
  • Usage-based/On-demand: Pricing is based on how often individuals use product or software.
  • Free: Product is free.
