The Local Initiative Rewarding Results (LIRR) Collaborative was established in fall 2002 to implement incentives designed to improve care for low-income children enrolled in California’s Medi-Cal and Healthy Families programs. The collaborative, which included seven “local initiative” low-income-focused health plans in California, was part of the national Rewarding Results demonstration program sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the California HealthCare Foundation. The demonstration was administered by the Center for Health Care Strategies, and Mathematica Policy Research (MPR) led the evaluation. The demonstration ran through December 2005. This report provides the final results of the evaluation.
