Help us improve! Complete a brief evaluation.
This training video is designed to help Medicaid and partner agency staff understand the key areas of intersection between Medicare and Medicaid, and the impact that conflicting requirements and competing financial incentives have on those eligible for both programs. The training also highlights how states can improve alignment with Medicare by developing integrated models that allow for greater coordination, simplicity, and efficiency in care delivery for dually eligible individuals.
Through this training, viewers will become more familiar with:
- How misalignment across Medicare and Medicaid can impact dually eligible individuals.
- Opportunities to better align the programs’ coverage, enrollment, service coordination, appeals, and financing.
- How Medicaid programs can promote alignment by using their D-SNP contracting authority.
