As the Medicaid landscape evolves amid growing budgetary pressures and the introduction of new work requirements, innovation will be critical to meeting member needs. Implementing tech-enabled solutions is one way Medicaid agencies, health plans, and health care organizations can provide more effective, efficient care.
This Center for Health Care Strategies (CHCS) webinar explored key takeaways from the Medicaid Innovation Collaborative (MIC), an initiative that brings together state Medicaid programs, managed care organizations (MCOs), and other key stakeholders to identify and implement private-sector, tech-enabled solutions that address Medicaid members’ health and social care needs. Representatives from companies delivering tech innovations to Medicaid members in Iowa, Kentucky, and New York State discussed their experiences, outcomes, and lessons related to contracting with Medicaid MCOs in MIC pilot projects. MIC, a program of Acumen America, is funded by The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and the Public Benefit Innovation Fund at Digital Harbor Foundation. CHCS is a technical assistance partner to the collaborative.
This webinar builds on a previous session, Tech-Enabled Solutions for Addressing Health-Related Social Needs: Experiences from Iowa and Kentucky Medicaid, that explored the goals of using tech-enabled solutions to improve care and services for Medicaid members, and how tech innovators and states can align around common objectives.
